Global Finance hailed PH Central Bank Head

For two straight years, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. has been named by the international business magazine Global Finance as one of the world’s best central bankers, this time for 2012 with a grade of “A”. Besides him, five other countries were recognized, namely Malaysia, Taiwan, Israel, Australia, and Canada.

Amando Tetangco Jr. assumed governorship of BSP on 2005. He graduated Cum Laude in AB Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, took up graduate courses in business administration from the same school, and pursued an MA in Public Policy and Administration at the University of Wisconsin.
